Unsure [06 Dec 2004|10:01am]
[ mood | pensive ]

The recent cataclysm that had occured had only made the work of reconstructing this realm that much harder. Not all the damage sustained had been catalogued and it would be a long while before it would be fixed.

Elros has been left even more unsure of himself as a result. If it weren't that it would seem a bit to extreme, even for the Powers, he would think they had caused the disasters as protest to his kingship.

He wonders if it had been a good idea to accept the crown in the first place.

Errg... [07 Nov 2004|05:35pm]
[ mood | crappy ]

Written in Elros' personal journal.

I really don't know what Thingol is thinking, I am hardly one who knows how to rule, let alone help reconstruct a kingdom that has been dead as Doriath has been.

On the other hand who else is in a position of neutrality such as I currently hold? I am decendant of both Noldor and Sindar, I grew up in the care of a Fëanorion and have spent my adult years living with the remnants of Beleriand's population on Balar.

I wish Elrond was here.

Woods of my forefathers [25 Sep 2004|02:33am]
[ mood | frustrated ]

Elros wanders through the trees, not quite sure if he is even in the right part of Doriath at all. Amongst other things he had started out with on leaving Balar was directions for finding the caves of Menegroth, given to him by one of the survivors of both of the latter kinslayings.

According to said directions he aught to be practically in front of the doors of the place but they yet allude him. He perseveres however in his search, hoping yet to find them.

Travel [31 Aug 2004|04:18pm]
[ mood | restless ]

It has not been light trek for Elros, travelling north from the Arvernien coast in the general direction of Nargothrond. The peredhel has the distinct inpression that, if anywhere, he may find survivors in Doriath so that is where he is headed though he must find crossing over the Andram first.

Information he had been given before leaving Balar had that the ridge that divided the northern regions from southern was easier to cross northwest of where the Sirion river passed under it though now that Elros aproached it he wondered what counted as difficult. Not that he wasn't prepared, back on Balar he'd protested the equipment Gil-Galad had insisted on but now he was glad the king had pushed him into taking it.

Elros now sits, briefly resting and eating, before he sets out again, wondering just how many living people he will find.
